What the commitment actually is

Time

Regular training through the season, across technique, rehearsal and solo time, plus competition weekends. Ask us for the current schedule.

Money

Training fees, competition entries, costumes and travel. We put the whole number in front of you in CAD before you commit, with no line item left off. Ask and we will walk you through it, item by item.

The family

Competition weekends are long days and early call times. Siblings come along. It becomes a large part of your calendar, and families who love it say that is the point.

The child

The team is for dancers who ask to be there. If your child is being convinced, this is not the year.

What we expect, and what you can expect from us

  • Attendance at rehearsals, because a group routine only works if the group is there.
  • Kindness in the change room. It is a condition of being on this team.
  • Honest, private feedback from teachers, never public correction as a motivator.
  • Rest weeks, and a summer that is genuinely a summer.
  • A clear season calendar in June, so you can plan the whole year in one sitting.

New to the studio?

Every competitive dancer here started in a recreational class, and most of them started at three. Begin with a trial class.
